Insights, Stories, and Tips for the Inquisitive Mind
Our journey began in the vibrant world of creative arts, a path that has not only shaped us as artists but as leaders, educators, and advocates. Through the arts, we discovered powerful skills — creativity, communication, resilience — that transcend the studio and stage, enriching our lives in education, business, and community leadership. Inspired by our own transformation, we're dedicated to unlocking this potential in others. Our mission is to guide individuals in exploring their creative talents, developing their personal and professional skills, and empowering them to lead and inspire in all aspects of their lives.
Our ethos is simple – everyone has a story to tell, a song to sing, or a dance to share. We believe in the transformative power of the arts to enrich lives and communities. By making arts accessible to all, we aim to foster confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging.
So, dive in! Explore, learn, and let us know if there's something specific you're curious about. We're here to help, one post at a time.
Let’s be honest - “quality” isn’t the most exciting word in the world.
When you look at our five core values here at BHVA - Joy, Nurture, Creativity, Inspire and Quality - it’s the one that might not feel like the fun one. It’s the word that might remind you of checklists, policies, or those posters with buzzwords in corporate offices.
But here’s the truth.
Without it? None of the other values hold up!
At BHVA, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
For us, quality doesn’t mean ticking boxes or hitting a generic standard.
It means showing up with care, with accountability, and with intention - for the people we’re working with right now.
Whether it’s a student, a parent, a school, or a community group, we tailor what we do so it actually works for them. Because quality, to us, isn’t static - it’s responsive.
“What’s quality for one person might not be quality for someone else. So we adapt. Always.”
That’s the secret sauce.
We have our own BHVA-style quality process, and it starts with something pretty simple: nothing goes out without passing the Beccy and Lindsey test.
Everything we do is:
Planned with purpose - we think it through together.
Delivered by the right person - not just who’s available, but who’s the best fit.
Regularly reviewed - we visit sessions, observe, and stay hands-on.
Adapted as needed - because people and needs change.
We’re also not afraid to pull in others - we seek advice, read research, bring in CPD-accredited training, and stay curious. (If you know us, you’ve seen the WhatsApps flying with “Have you read this article?” or “Check out this video!”)
We believe accountability should feel like a conversation, not a checkbox. That’s why we check in, not check up. We listen, tweak, and evolve.
We’re proud of:
Open dialogue with clients and participants
Evidence based planning - not just “pretty ideas”
External Validation - like CPD-accredited staff training
Ongoing professional development - we keep learning too!
Long term relationships - most of our work comes from people coming back again and again
Because if something isn’t working, we don’t just talk about quality. We change something!
We might not shout about awards (you’ll find them tucked behind us in videos, not plastered on every wall), but they matter.
Not because they’re shiny.
But because they hold us accountable.
They show our work stands up, not just to our own standards - but to external ones too.
And that’s why quality is our starting point. It’s the base layer. The bit that lets us confidently say: “Your journey, your story - and we’re going to support it in the best way possible.”
Quality isn't about perfection. It’s about being present and responsive.
Being adaptable is part of being high-quality.
Checklists matter… but people matter more.
Staying curious keeps your standards high.
It’s okay to ask for help. External validation can be your superpower.
This is the first in our 5-part series exploring the BHVA values. Next time, we’ll be diving into CREATIVITY
Because who said high standards can’t be fun?
