Age 7+

Wednesdays | 10:00-11:00am

BHVA Studios, Kettering

Imagine if your child realised they could create music...

Not every young person who loves music wants to stand on a stage.

Some love listening.

Some are fascinated by how songs are made.

Some spend hours experimenting with sounds, rhythms and ideas.

They just need someone to show them where to start.

Our Music Production sessions help children discover that music isn't just something they listen to - it's something they can create.

With expert guidance, practical activities and plenty of opportunities to experiment, they'll build confidence one project at a time.

Using GarageBand on iPads and MacBooks, they'll develop practical music production skills, understand how music is created, and discover that they don't need to play an instrument to start making music of their own.

Music is more than pressing buttons

We help children understand why music works, how producers shape songs, and how they can use those ideas to create something that's uniquely their own.

Whether they're creating a film soundtrack, producing an electronic beat or experimenting with a pop song, every session encourages creativity, curiosity and confidence.

"Learning software is only part of the journey."

Learn by creating

Children don't just watch demonstrations - they explore ideas before applying them in their own projects.

Build real musical understanding

Alongside practical production skills, they'll develop music theory, listening skills and creative decision-making.

Supported by industry experience

Sessions are led by experienced music professionals who understand both the technical and creative sides of music production.

A pathway for the future

Children can continue developing through optional RSL Music Production grades before progressing to our Level 2 Music qualification from age 14.

Every child has music inside them

Music isn't just something we listen to.

It's something we can create.

At BHVA, we believe every child should have the opportunity to explore ideas, experiment with sound and discover the confidence that comes from creating something that's entirely their own.

Whether they're making their very first beat or writing an original soundtrack, every session develops far more than technical skills.

Your child's musical journey doesn't have to stop here

Many young people begin by discovering the joy of creating music in GarageBand before progressing to RSL Music Production Grades, developing their songwriting and recording skills, and, from age 14, moving on to our RSL Level 2 Music qualification. Whatever their ambitions, we'll help them take the next step when they're ready.
