What Our Clients Say

We were introduced to Beccy through another one of her students who couldn’t sing her praises highly enough, so we booked some initial lessons.

It quickly became clear that Beccy could get the best out of my daughter who as a teen requires a really fine balance of praise and direction.

At the beginning of one school year we could only get my daughter’s lesson in quite late on a Friday evening which initially I was concerned about. As it turned out I needn’t have worried. This soon became a lovely way for my daughter to unwind from the week due to Beccy’s holistic approach to teaching. Every Friday evening my daughter came out of her lesson relaxed and happy. Beccy’s ability to connect with people means she will shape a lesson around the individual rather than adopt a one size fits all strategy.

My daughter chose to work toward exams and felt completely supported all the way through. She also enjoyed their post-exam agreement where she got to pick her own song to work on before going back to the exam syllabus.

More recently my daughter was lucky enough to get a leading role in a Youth Musical Theatre summer camp where she laughed with the musical director about how much she projects when she sings. Being a bit ignorant of the proper terminology I asked her after the show “When did your singing get so loud?: A one-word answer “Beccy”.

We have been so pleased to see the progress our daughter has made with Beccy and the variety of techniques that she uses. To see how her confidence has grown where she is able to question and discuss with Beccy about how she feels on certain exercises and how she will embrace those that also fall outside her comfort zone. It is a real partnership in every sense and the learning book used each week is a fantastic tool that makes the student take time to reflect on their week and practice.

Knowing my child can learn to sing with someone like Beccy is really exciting. Not only is she an amazing and experienced musician and teacher, but she cares about good vocal health which is something I think is hugely important – especially in children.

Having Beccy teach me is the highlight of my week. My voice is being pushed in all the right places and I am being given the confidence to do things I didn’t think I could. I cannot recommend this lovely lady enough offering her magic and vast knowledge to all ages!

I’ve been enjoying Harmonix from the beginning. It’s a great place to have a good sing, be a bit silly and learn all in one place! In these strange and unusual times, I was beginning to miss friends and normality. Thankfully, Beccy was quick to move sessions online and for a few hours on a Sunday evening we can escape. It’s a great way to manage stress and anxiety too and welcome more than ever!
